 | | Meini Gwyr, is an embanked stone circle, around 4000 years old, 60 feet in diameter, and consisting of 17 stones, ranging in height from 3 to 6 feet, of which only two remain today. |
 | | The stone circle is the centrepiece, of the Meini Gwyr Complex, which consists of Burial Mounds, and Cairns of various forms. |
 | | It is suggested that the name of the site, Meini, (Large Stone) and Gwyr, (Crooked) refers to the varying size, shape and angles of the stones, which were set in the circle. |
