		In 1897, seventeen national associations joined together to form the basis of the European Gymnastics Federation.

		Gymnastics is a sport involving the performance of sequences of movements requiring strength, flexibility, and kinaesthetic awareness.
		The discipline of rhythmic gymnastics is competed only by women, and involves the performance of five separate routines with the use of five props (ball, ribbon, hoop, clubs, role) on a floor area, with a much greater emphasis on the aesthetic rather than the acrobatic.
		Trampolining routines involve a build-up phase during which the gymnast jumps repeatedly to achieve height, followed by a sequence of leaps without pauses during which the gymnast performs a sequence of aerial tumbling skills.

		I felt it was unfair to the sport of gymnastics that the author had to devote a whole chapter to the eating disorders and life- threatening injuries of the sport, which made it seem like it happens to everyone in gymnastics.

		Rythmic gymnastics is also a sport ideal for girls who find they are too tall or lack the explosive power required in artistic gymnastics, in fact, taller girls are better proportioned to accentuate the rhythmic flow of rhythmic gymnastics while concealing how difficult it really is.
		It is probablly true to say that rhythmic gymnastics still doesn't get the kind of recognition it deserves, perhaps that's because it is still not very well understood by the parents and of gymnasts and the many spectators the world over, this brief article will shed a little light on getting started in rhythmic gymnastics.
