Montreal Canadiens - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In 1925, the Habs lost to the Victoria Cougars (now the Detroit Red Wings) in the last year of the old Western Hockey League challenging for the Stanley Cup.
Generally, however, the Habs stumbled in the playoffs until they won their third Stanley Cup in 1930, defeating the seemingly invincible Boston Bruins (who had lost a mere six games in a 44-game schedule).
The Habs were back to their winning ways in 1971, defeating the Black Hawks to capture yet another Stanley Cup in goalie Ken Dryden's rookie season (starting a career where he would average an astonishing two goals allowed per game), in addition to long-time Leafs' star Frank Mahovlich's first in a Canadiens uniform.

Historic American Buildings Survey - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Historic American Buildings Survey (HABS), Historic American Engineering Record (HAER), and Historic American Landscapes Survey (HALS) are programs of the National Park Service established for the purpose of documenting historic places.
Guided by field instructions from Washington, D.C., the first HABS recorders were tasked with documenting a representative sampling of America's architectural heritage.
By creating an archive of historic architecture, HABS provided a data base of primary source material for the then fledgling historic preservation movement.

From the hand-hewn, timber-frame Saltboxes of the colonial period to the steel-beam constructed office towers that dominate today's urban skylines, the architectural forms of each era are built on those of the past, with every successive development constituting a vital link in the progression.
It is the mission of the Historic American Buildings Survey (HABS) to properly record these structures in order to better understand what they tell us of the past, and to insure their recognition by future generations.
The Historic American Buildings Survey (HABS) operates under congressional authority from the Historic Sites Act of 1935 to document historic structures and make available to the public, an archive of records of America's architectural heritage.

HABs have been reported in almost every U.S. coastal state, and their occurrence may be on the rise.

HABs reduce tourism, close beaches and shellfish beds, and decrease the catch from both recreational and commercial fisheries.
