| | HM Prison Pentridge |
 | | HM (His/Hers Majesties) prison Pentridge was located in Coburg (formerly named Pentridge), Victoria, Australia a suburb of Melbourne, it was one of Melbourne's first major prisons and was built by the first convicts to stay their, it was a grand bluestone place and had a infamous past from hangings, murders, riots and escapes. |
 | | Pentridge was still operational up until c (circa) 1998 (if my memory serves me correct) but all that stands now (after 2000-2001) is the front of the bluestone buildings, which is home to a new housing estate, the graves of Ned Kelly (Australian bushranger) and many other dead convicts. |
 | | In 1998 not longer after it closed, I went for a tour of the jail with my family, and visited the facility wandering in to cells and the exercise yards learning about the Murders, Rapists and Criminals that used to occupy the complex, some were even hung their for their crimes. |
