 International Naval Response
The deployment, codenamed Operation Apollo, began with the diversion of the patrol frigate HMCS Halifax (FFH 330) from NATO's Standing Naval Force Atlantic (STANAVFORLANT) to the Persian Gulf.
She will be joined in the region by three more warships - the destroyer HMCS Iroquois (DDH 280), the frigate HMCS Charlottetown (FFH 339), and the supply ship HMCS Preserver (AOR 510) - all of which departed Halifax on October 17th.
HMCS Iroquois will serve as a command and control ship while HMCS Preserver will supply the task group with food, fuel and ammunition, in addition to providing medical facilities and helicopter maintenance and repair.

HMCS Regina (FFH 334) is the fifth of the Halifax-class line of frigates.
During the Second World War, there was an earlier HMCS Regina, a Canadian-built corvette that sank an Italian submarine in the Mediterannean in 1943, but was itself sunk by a U-boat's torpedo while escorting a small convoy off the coast of Cornwall in August 1944.

Over the period November 16th to 19th, the vessel was subjected to underwater explosions, the effects of which were documented by gauges and high speed cameras installed for the trial.

The Halifax is on par with the Perry’s in size but they displace roughly 1,000+ tons more than a long hull Perry.
The Halifax probably has an edge since they are newer the Perry Class from the start were meant to be a cheap way to get more hulls in the water.
All together I would say the Halifax is sort of the equivalent of a long hull Perry but lags behind in some areas with advantages in others.
