The HMNZS Te Kaha (F77) is an Anzac class frigate of the Royal New Zealand Navy.
The Te Kaha has been involved in the September 1999 landing of the United Nations International Force in East Timor.
The frigate was also involved in the Solomon Islands conflict during 2000-2001, where she relieved her sister ship Te Mana.

Two additional units were built for New Zealand and are sometimes known as the Te Kaha class frigates.
New Zealand frigates HMNZS Te Kaha and Te Mana have not recieved the same standard of equipment as their Australian counterparts, (with the exception of their new build Kaman SH-2 Seasprite helicopters, which have in service not experienced the reliability problems of Australia's second hand purchase).
Te Kaha and Te Mana have seens service in East Timor, the Persian Gulf and pursuing poachers around Antartica.

 RNZN - TE KAHA
The first of the Royal New Zealand Navy's (RNZN) ANZAC class frigates, TE KAHA was launched in Melbourne on 22 July 1995, and commissioned in Auckland exactly two years later.
The SH-2G (NZ) Seasprite helicopters presently operate from TE MANA and TE KAHA, embarked with aircrew from the RNZN and maintainers from the RNZAF.
TE KAHA is built to the German MEKO 200 Class design.

HMNZS CANTERBURY was launched by Her Royal Highness Princess Anne (the Princess Royal) on 6 May 1970 and was commissioned into the Royal New Zealand Navy on 22 October 1971, and will be retired from active service early 2005.
HMNZS CANTERBURY is the last of the Leander-class frigates commissioned into service in the Royal New Zealand Navy and her decommissioning in 2005 will mark the end of the steam turbine era.

 RNZN - Commanding Officer, HMNZS TE KAHA F77
After completing his initial training at the Officer Training School HMNZS TAMAKI, Keith returned to sea early in 1988 to HMNZS WELLINGTON to qualify as a Bridge Watch-keeping Officer; fully qualified within a year, he was promoted to Lieutenant.
From this role Keith was posted as the commissioning Executive Officer of HMNZS TE MANA while she was fitted out at the builders yard in Melbourne, Australia.
Keith was appointed as Commanding Officer, HMNZS TE KAHA, on 12 August 2003.
