  HM Submarine A5
HM Naval Base Haulbowline, located on the western side of Cork Harbour, was quite large and had a dockyard and dry dock capable of holding a vessel of cruiser size.
Apart from being the first submarine to arrive at the Haulbowline Naval Base, the public were aware that a sister ship of A5, the A1, had been sunk during 1904 when in collision with a Liner.
A5 was broken-up in Portsmouth Dockyard in 1920.

Atlantic Highly Migratory Species (HMS); Pelagic Longline Fishery; Final Rule [Rules and Regulations] [07/06/2004]
As part of that strategy, the HMS Management Division has identified the improvement of recreational fishery data and angler education as items to be considered in Amendment 2 to the HMS and Billfish FMPs.
Because vessels authorized to fish for swordfish and tunas with pelagic longline gear must possess a tuna longline permit, a swordfish permit (directed or incidental), and a shark permit (directed or incidental), the maximum number of vessels potentially affected by this final rule is 303 (the number of swordfish permits issued).
Other sectors of HMS fisheries such as dealers, processors, bait houses, and gear manufacturers, some of which are considered small entities, might be indirectly affected by the preferred alternatives.

HMS Renown was laid down in 1915 and launched 1916.
I decided my model of HMS RENOWN would portray the ship as she would have appeared in the middle part of 1942 while sporting the wonderful camouflage scheme that is shown in the colour rendition of the scheme in port and starboard elevations in the instructions.
I am tempted to someday build her again in either immediate pre-war or a late-war configuration in a more plain colour scheme, as I feel that much of the elegant lines and detail of the original ship and of this model kit are lost and disguised by, and within, the multicoloured paintwork.

A single gene expressed in the brain can change a longstanding icon of basic neuroscience that was until now thought to be shaped mostly by neural input from the body's periphery, HMS researchers have found.
Its wildly uneven proportions are generally thought to arise in response to the activity of sensory neurons feeding information to the brain.
In the April Nature Neuroscience, however, researchers led by John Flanagan, HMS associate professor of cell biology, report that a protein previously known to establish maps of the visual world in lower brain centers in mice also plays a prominent role in imprinting a proper body map on the brain's cortex.
