  About HMS Trumpeter
Bristol's ship is HMS Trumpeter; she is 20 metres in length, powered by two Rolls-Royce Perkins diesel engines, capable of 21 knots and has accommodation for 12 crew and trainees on board.
HMS Trumpeter was returned to the US Navy on 6 April 1946, where she reverted to her original name of USS Bastian before being sold into merchant service as the Alblasserdijk.
She was renamed HMS Trumpeter in 1947, and later, on transfer to the Ministry of Transport in 1956, was further renamed Empire Fulmar.

HMS Bristol (D23) was the only Type 82 destroyer of the Royal Navy.
Bristol saw a number of new systems introduced into the Navy, including the Sea Dart missile system, which remains in service on board the Type 42 destroyers of the fleet in the early 21st century.
Bristol was therefore decommissioned in 1987 and refitted to replace the County-class destroyer Kent as a cadet training ship.

One of the most famous of Royal Naval establishments whose existence is not being allowed to fade away is 'HMS Ganges' at Shotley near Ipswich, Suffolk, through whose gates passed many thousands of young boys between the years 1905 to 1976.
The HMS Ganges Association have, thanks to the generosity of the owners of the Shotley Marina opened an 'HMS Ganges Museum' exhibiting in situ, lots of artifacts, memorabilia and photographs.

Portsmouth-based mine countermeasures vessels, HMS Ledbury and HMS Cattistock, will be moored in the city docks on two separate visits.
HMS Ledbury came to the city and moored near the Arnolfini in February and was open to visitors for two days.
HMS Cattistock will be in the city harbour from 14-19 March and will be open to the public from 1.30-5pm on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 March.

Surgical instruments used onboard HMS Victory during the Battle of Trafalgar are at sea again on their way to take part in bicentenary commemorations of Nelson’s finest hour.
The precious artefacts are being taken onboard Royal Navy Mine Counter Measures Vessel HMS Dulverton to HMS Victory for a commemorative ceremony on April 25.

For HMS Warrior I've also included a section on the planes - some of the photos of which are truely amazing.
From his Certificate of Service he trained on HMS Royal Arthur, Raleigh and Drake as a stoker, from there he went to HMS Wrangler as Stoker Mechanic in 1949, joining HMS Gambia in 1950 for two years.
He also spent nearly a year, between his time on HMS Gambia and HMS Warrior, on HMS Orion, but I've got no information on this at all except that like HMS Gambia she was a cruiser.
