HMS Cleopatra (F28) was a Leander-class frigate of the Royal Navy (RN).
In 1973, Cleopatra began her modernisation, becoming the first Batch Two Leander to do so, which included the removal of her one twin 4.5-in gun to allow the addition of the Exocet anti-ship missile system.
Cleopatra was positioned in the middle of HM ships Zulu and Arethusa.

In January 1943, during the night of 22-23rd Force K, consisting of HMS Euryalus, HMS Cleopatra and four destroyers, shelled the withdrawal routes of the German-Italian panzer forces near Zuara Libya, Tripoli was evacuated by the rearguards on the 23rd.
During August, HMS Euryalus, HMS Dido and HMS Sirius with four destroyers, shelled the bridge in the Gulf of Eufemia Calibria, in support of the 8th Army under Lt-General Clarke in the Bay of Solerno, in overall command of the operation was Admiral Cunningham (R.N.) in Malta.
In august 1952 HMS Euryalus was decommissioned, and later during the year she was recommissioned and again rejoined the 1st Cruiser Squadron in the Mediterranean.

 HMS Cleopatra
HMS Cleopatra was a Caroline class light cruiser that spent the First World War with the Harwich Force, taking part in the attack on the Zeppelin base at Tondern.
The Cleopatra was at sea during the Lowestoft raid, 24-25 April 1916, and was part of Commodore Tyrwhitt’s force that found the German ships carrying out the raid but was unable to distract them from their mission.
After the war HMS Cleopatra served with the 2nd LCS of the Harwich Force (1919), during which period the squadron was sent to the Baltic.

Cleopatra was built at Devonport by H.M. Dockyard.
Upon Cleopatra's commissioning, she joined the 24th Escort Squadron and subsequently became a training ship, being based in a variety of ports.

HMS CLEOPATRA remained in the East Indies until 7 January 1946 when she returned to UK arriving at Portsmouth on 7th February.
