Euryalus, launched in 1877, was a Bacchante -class iron screw corvette, sold in 1897.
Euryalus, launched 1901, was a Cressy -class armoured cruiser that fought at the Dardanelles in World War I.
Euryalus (F15), launched 1963, was a Leander -class frigate, scrapped in 1990.

Upon her commissioning, Euryalus became the leader of the 26th Escort Squadron which was based in the Far East.
In 1982, Euryalus, along with her sister-ship Leander, came to the aid of the Portuguese vessel MV Ave Maria which was ablaze off Exeter.
Euryalus decommissioned on the 31st March 1989 and was bought by Devonport Management Limited with the intention of then selling her to a foreign navy, but this was not to be, and in 1990, Euryalus was sold for scrap.

Euryalus was a DIDO class light cruiser with a main armament of 10 x 5.25" A.A. guns mounted in five turrets.
When Euryalus was commissioned on that very warm sunny afternoon in June 1941 her compliment was approximately 346 the majority being "Hostilities Only" personnel, many of whom had never been to sea.
HMS Euryalus was a light at the end of the tunnel and it only became real after months or years on board.

 Leander Class General Purpose Frigate ( Type 12 Improved)
The construction programme was also the last to incorporate Royal Dockyards: HMS Andromeda was the last warship built at Portsmouth Dockyard and HMS Scylla the last built at Devonport Dockyard.
Two vessels, Aurora and Euryalus, were bought by Devonport Management Ltd (DML) who hoped to refit and resell them to a foreign navy or failing that, use them as a source of spare parts and equipment for other Leanders.
Both she and Euryalus were eventually sold to DML (Devonport Management Limited) in the hope of resale to a foreign navy or as a source of spares for other Leanders On August 1st 1988 she was towed from Portsmouth to Devonport.

She is seen above on charter to the Royal Navy in the early seventies.
HMS Euryalus paid off in March 1989 whilst HMS Galatea was expended as a target in 1988.
The 40 plus freighting tankers with which the R.F.A. ended WW1 were put out to commercial management afterwards and they did not return to Admiralty control until 1936.
