HMS Grasshopper, was the name given to several boats, stations and ships of the (additional info and facts about Royal Navy) Royal Navy.
Launched in 1806, the first Grasshopper was a 16-gun brig of 383 tons captured in heavy weather off the Dutch island of (additional info and facts about Texel) Texel.
She was sunk by Japanese forces south of (A country in southeastern Asia on the island of Singapore; achieved independence from Malaysia in 1965) Singapore on 14 February, 1942 with heavy loss of life.

H.M.S. Bideford was also saved from the beach at Dunkirk after being towed back home by the Locust; the Sloop Bideford had her stern blown off during a sustained air attack.

HMS Grampus was a Beagle-class destroyer of the Royal Navy and originally named HMS Nautilus when she was commissioned on March 30, 1910.
She was renamed Grampus on December 16, 1913, her former name being reallocated to the first Royal Navy submarine to be given one.
On April 17, 1915, in an attempt to break through the Dardanelles, the submarine HMS E-15 ran aground under Kephaz Point.

Tommy had risen to the rank of Leading Seaman when HMS Grasshopper, an "insect" class river gunboat with a ship's company of 74, left Singapore on 12 Feb 1942 bound for Batavia, now Jakarta, prior to the imminent arrival of the Japanese invaders.

Model is of HMS Indefatigable as reconstructed as a 38 gun frigate in 1794.
HMS Indefatigable was sister to HMS Agamemnon and launched as a 64 gun in 1781, she went straight into storage and was later reconstructed as a heavy frigate in 1794, the model was built to original NMM plans at a scale of 1/72 giving a rigged length of 46'' without the flying jib boom.
The hull and decks of the model have been constructed from cedar planks on hardwood (plywood) bulkheads, each plank being fitted to the frames with wooden nails - treenails or "trunnels".
