  HMS Isis
The fourth Isis was a 50-gun 4th rate launched in 1819, hulked in 1861 and sold 1867.
The fifth Isis was a 2nd class cruiser in use from 1896 to 1920.
Isis was involved in the evacuation of Greece in April 1941, and attacked and sank the enemy German submarine U-562 while in company with the frigate HMS Hursley and a Wellington aircraft of the Royal Air Force in the Mediterranean north-east of Bengazi on 19 February 1943.

Sir Thomas Adams was in command of HMS Niger in Newfoundland waters during 1765 and 1766.
Brathwaite was also in command of HMS Shannon (1761-1763), HMS Gibraltar (1766-1767 in Newfoundland waters) and HMS Liverpool (1767-1768, again in Newfoundland waters).In 1790, Brathwaite became a rear admiral of the white and rose eventually to become admiral of the white in 1801.
Samuel Thompson was in command of HMS Lark in 1765.

A Fine George III HM silver tea pot and stand - Makers George Smith and Thomas Hayter, London 1797, the body of octagonal form with decorative boarders with circle and engraved quatrefoil decoration, having a shield with engraved foliate boarder to each side, repeated again to the centre of the stand.
A Victorian cased set of 6 HM silver and mother of peal fruit knives and forks - Makers Martin Hall Co. Sheffield 1863, 1864, 1865, having harebell and swag decoration to the collars and engraved decoration and monogram to the mother of pearl handles.
A Victorian HM silver vesta - Maker THH and Co Birmingham 1898 - having engraved acanthus scroll decoration to the body, with striker under and hinged lid to top reveal remains of a gilded interior.

The ISIS must have been destroyed by the superior weight of her enemy's fire, if Captain Inman, in the DESIREE frigate, had not judiciously taken a situation which enabled him to rake the Dane, if the POLYPHEMUS had not also relieved her.
The former ship was about forty years old, and these guns were believed to be the same which she had first taken to sea: they were, probably, originally faulty, for the fragments were full of little air-holes.

Libel showing that Richard Onslow, Capt of HMS St Alban's, on behalf of imself, Capt Gedouin, HMS Richmond, Capt Hyde Parker, HMS Phoenix, and Capt Caldwell, HMS Emerald, claims that the Duke of Grafton captured by them 27 Dec 1777 in Hampton Road, Virginia, to be condemned as prize.
Paul Paynter, son of Paul (will 1784) and Mary Paynter of Fairfield (now known as Somerwood, Sandy's), was a master mariner and rescued the HMS Hope which had foundered on the western reef in 1778 and successfully brought her to Ely's Harbour.
Taken on 1 April 1777 by the Isis and the Tyger and brought into Jamaica where it was condemned as a prize in July 1777.

We only know this from the musters of his next ship HMS Spartiate which he joined from Isis in late June of 1823 as Sir George Eyre's steward for the Rear-Admiral's tour of duty as Commander-in-Chief South America Station.
Three months later in August 1827 the couple were in Chatham where he volunteered to be Captain Augustus Clifford's steward in HMS Undaunted.

The hard copy bibliographies like Isis Critical Bibliography, Applied Science and Technology Index, Bulletin Signalétique, and even Imaging Abstracts, only very poorly list history of photography articles, and a week by week eye on the various Current Contents is laborious and not very rewarding as photographic galleries etc produce rather ‘grey literature’.
