Directed by HMS ICARUS to the likely spot, HMS KINGSTON was able to establish ASDIC contact and made two depth-charge attacks, which jammed the diving planes of U-35 and put her at a sharp up angle.
HMS ICARUS, HMS KINGSTON and HMS KASHMIR issued formal reports to the Admiralty in December 1939.

H.M.S. KELLY was launched on the 25th October 1938 and began her short but active career when handed over to Captain, Lord Louis Mountbatten Royal Navy on 23rd August 1939.
During the evacuation of Crete in 1942 whilst in the company of H.M.S. Kashmir she was attacked and hit in the boiler room by a bomb that passed down the funnel.

The warship HMS Kelly was built at the Hawthorn Leslie shipyard in Hebburn and a large number of her crew were Hebburn men.
HMS Kelly was launched in October 1938 and one of her first tasks was a secret mission to bring the Duke and Duchess of Windsor from Le Havre to Britain in September 1939, just after the outbreak of World War II.
Lord Louis Mountbatten captained the Kelly and she survived hitting a mine and being torpedoed in 1940, however during the invasion of Crete in May 1941 the Kelly was hit by dive-bombers and sunk with the loss of 130 lives.

HMS Kelly (F01) was a K-class destroyer in Britain's Royal Navy, launched on 25 October 1938 at Hawthorn Leslie, Hebburn and commissioned on 23 August 1939.
She served during World War II in Norway and the Mediterranean, and for all of its service was under the command of Lord Louis Mountbatten.
On 23 May 1941 in the evacuation of Crete she was bombed and sank.

Louise Kelly, a research fellow in Gilliland's lab, led a study with researchers from the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Emory University, and Millennium Pharmaceuticals to test a compound called CT53518, which showed promise in blocking FLT3 in mouse and human cell lines.
The lab of James Griffin, HMS professor of medicine at DFCI, also collaborated with Gilliland's team and researchers at Novartis Pharmaceuticals to test another FLT3 inhibitor, PKC412.
Both inhibitors "seem to be effective in killing cells that are malignant," said Ellen Weisberg, HMS instructor in medicine at DFCI and a first author of the PKC412 study.

Due to shortages, HMS Ulysses was fitted with a four barrelled pom-pom and HMS Urchin had two additional twin 20 mm anti aircraft guns, both fitted in place of the twin 40 mm anti aircraft gun.
The one known surviving variant, HMS Cavalier, was significantly modified during her service post-war, including the replacement of one gun with the Seacat missile system, although she is still very similar to the vessel that was built during the second world war.
HMS Cavalier is the only world war two vintage destroyer in the UK, and can be found at the Chatham historic dockyard.

She was helping in the evacuation of troops from Greece, and in the process had picked up, with the help of another destroyer, HMS Diamond, around 700 troops and crew from the 11,600 ton Dutch liner 'Slamat' now converted as a troopship and under British control, which had been attacked and damaged earlier.
The HMS Wryneck and HMS Diamond were both sunk in the attack with the loss of nearly both their crews and all the survivors of the Slamat.
Some survivors were rescued by the escorts HMS Legion and HMS Carnation and taken to Leith, Scotland.

The best option really is to go for WEM's Kelly PE set which provides everything you need (including straight and inclined rails), even multi-part PE 0.5 quads - they are devilishly difficult to put together, but look great (after a weekend of blood, sweat and tears or so...).
You have the option to replace the after quintuple tube with a 4 inch AA gun, which compared to Tamya's O class kit, where the 4 inch mount is molded onto the hull, is definitely the better solution.
The kit originally meant to depict HMS Kelly, which was one of the leaders of the class, the others being HMS Jervis and HMS Napier.
