  HMS Leonidas - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The first Leonidas, launched in 1807, was a 36-gun fifth-rate frigate, used as a powder hulk from 1872 and sold in 1894.
The second Leonidas, launched in 1913, was a Laforey-class destroyer.
She served with the 3rd Destroyer Flotilla and as a convoy escort in World War I and was broken up in 1922.

The Headquarters of the Royal Navy's 12th Submarine Flotilla HMS Varbel was located in the 88 bed-roomed Kyles Hydro Hotel in Port Bannatyne, the hotel having been requisitioned for this specific purpose.
HMS Sceptre was alongside HMS Cyclops instead of the normal 6-8 submarines, all indicative of the rundown to end the hostilities.

The words themselves were great too, of course, with plenty of Neil's wonderful dialogue, humor and weirdness, as was the acting, particularly the very fine job done by young Stephanie Leonidas in the lead role.
I enjoyed this one a lot, even though I thought there were a couple of points in the middle where the pace slowed down a bit too much.
The actors performances were very good though, and both the action scenes and the scenes of day-to-day life on the HMS Surprise were skillfully done.
