		The first Napier was a 445-ton iron river gunboat built at Bombay Dockyard, launched 11 September 1844, and in the records until 1858.
		The second Napier was an M-class destroyer launched in 1916 and sold in 1921.
		The third Napier (G97) was an N-class destroyer launched in 1940 and loaned to the Royal Australian Navy during World War II.

		HMS Duke of Wellington, was a major British warship of the mid-19th century, symptomatic of an era of rapid technological change in the Royal Navy, powered both by sail and steam.
		HMS Prince of Wales was completed to the same design as Marlborough in 1860 but saw no sea service; in 1869 she was renamed HMS Britannia and became the stationary training ship for officer cadets on the River Dart.
		HMS Royal Sovereign was completed to the same design as the Duke of Wellington but was cut down to the lower deck and converted in 1862-4 into the first British turret ship to try out the ideas of Captain Cowper Phipps Coles.

		HMS Invincible was an Audacious class ironclad battleship of the Royal Navy.
		She was Admiral Seymour's temporary flagship at the bombardment of Alexandria in 1882 because his normal one HMS Alexandra had too great a draught to enter the inner harbour.
		She was renamed HMS Erebus in 1904, a name that she bore until 1906 when she was converted into a training ship at Portsmouth for engineering artificers and was renamed Fisgard II (her sister Audacious had been renamed Fisgard in 1904).

		Incidentally, Napier (G.97) was the leader of the N-Class destroyers and Geelong (J.201) was a Bathurst-Class Minesweeping Sloop.

		Important Note: You can only build three of the 24 J/K/N class destroyers out of the box (bear this in mind when buying resin kits that are merely copies of the Matchbox kit...).
		The kit originally meant to depict HMS Kelly, which was one of the leaders of the class, the others being HMS Jervis and HMS Napier.
		In these ships, the after deckhouse was longer in order to accommodate the flotilla leader's staff, which in turn meant that there was no space for the TSDS minesweeping gear on the quarterdeck.

		The divers, members of the Hartlepool Diving Club, were exploring Royal Navy mine-layer HMS Port Napier when they discovered the cache of Whitbread beer in the ship's galley.
		A fire broke out on the HMS Port Napier in 1942 as it started out on a mine-laying mission.
		The navy later salvaged the mines from the vessel but the ship remains on the sea bed and is a favorite for exploration by divers.
