  H.M.S. Falcon - Royal Navy Gunboats in China and the Far East
HMS Robin became famous with the local population for chasing pirates and a legend arose that she had sailed overland from the Yangtze in pursuit of the same (Robin never saw service on the Yangtze).
HMS Widgeon was part of the flotilla that attempted to retake the merchant vessels Wanhsien and Wanliu from the Chinese army on September 5, 1926 (this occurred at Wanhsien - the same name as one of the vessels).
HMS Gannet was functioning in the area of Hong Kong as of February 1940, but was damaged by Japanese aircraft and moved to Chungking for repairs (she remained there).

 HMAS (ex HMS) PIONEER - HMA Ship Histories (Sea Power Centre - Australia)
HMS PIONEER was commissioned by the Royal Navy on 10 July 1900.
PIONEER continued in service as a unit of the Royal Navy on the Australia Station until 29 November 1912 when she paid off at Sydney for transfer to the Royal Australian Navy as a gift from the Admiralty.
The naval bombardment of Tanga was a prelude to its capture on 7 July and that of Dar-es-Salaam its seizure by sea and land forces on 7 September.

The facility was in use by HM Ships Unicorn and Pioneer for maintenance test flying of airframes that had been repaired onboard; these were Fleet Train aircraft maintenance and repair ships, a test flight had been established on Pityilu sometime after the first operational strikes were carried out by the BPF.
At it's maximum capacity HMS Nabaron could be home to 1700 men; overflow accommodation for squadron personnel was provided in the form of native style reed huts along the edges of the lagoon, these were found to be more than adequate for temporary housing.
On the 18th HMS Pioneer delivered stores and aircraft lighters to supplement the inadequate supply that arrived with the unit.

HMS Pyramus at the outbreak of world war one was serving in New Zealand and was sent in February 1915 to the Persian Gulf and then transferred to the Eats Indies.
HMS Psyche at the outbreak of world war one was serving in New Zealand and was transferred to the New Zealand Navy and sent to China in July 1915 after the war HMS Pyramus was scrapped at Melbourne Australia in June 1922.

 Archibald Little on the Yangtze (SS Pioneer and HMS Kinsha)
Soon thereafter SS Pioneer was commandeered by the Royal Navy in order to evacuate Europeans from Chungking during the Boxer Rebellion (97 Europeans and 60 Chinese were successfully rescued).
The Pioneer was found to be such an excellent vessel that the Royal Navy purchased her in 1901.
Renamed HMS Kinsha, she became the Royal Navy Yangtze flagship until 1921, when she was replaced by HMS Bee.

HMS Pioneer - I believe was laid down as a Colossus class aircraft carrier, but comissioned as a maintenance ship.
HMS Flycatcher - Airfield (RAF Ludham) assigned to the RN from 8/44 to 2/45.
HMS Drake IV - Don't know, but probably some internal unit of HMS Drake, only reference I can find is from the war memorial in Plymouth.

HMS vengeance was designed to last for three years as a light Fleet carrier but still in service today with the Brazilian Navy.
HMS vengeance was commissioned into he Royal Navy at Newcastle on the 15th January 1945 and planned to be part of the British Pacific Fleet.
The King George V class battleship HMS Anson is pictured in Sydney Harbour where she joined the Pacific Fleet in July 1945, viewed across the flight deck of HMS Vengeance, where ten of her Vought F4.U Corsairs are ranged in front of a single folded Fairey Barracuda.

On 12 December 1856, as the result of a generous gesture by the American Congress, HMS RESOLUTE, a Royal Navy arctic discovery vessel, arrived off Portsmouth, England, with an American crew and under the command of Commander Hartstein of the U.S. Navy.
HMS RESOLUTE was built as PTARMIGAN and purchased by the Admiralty on 21 February 1850.
The following morning at 11 o`clock the wooden steam frigate HMS SHANNON saluted the American ensign with 21 guns, after which RESOLUTE changed her colors to English and the Portsmouth garrison battery (on the flagstaff of which was hoisted the Stars and Stripes) fired another 21 gun salute.

In 1904 the pioneer ironclad Warrior (now on show in Portsmouth as HMS Warrior 1860) arrived as a floating workshop, power plant and wireless telegraphy school and was renamed Vernon III.
On 1 October 1923, HMS Vernon (or ‘The Vernon’ as it came to be known) was established ashore on the site of the old Gunwharf (now the development known as Gunwharf Quays) and Mining, Whitehead [Torpedo] and Electrical departments were formed.
HMS Vernon remained the home of the TAS Branch until the Summer of 1974 when it was devolved to HMS Dryad prior to the formation of the Operations Branch in early 1975.

HMS Perseus (R51) was a Colossus-class light fleet aircraft carrier of the Royal Navy.
She was laid down by Vickers Armstrong on the Tyne on 1 January 1943, launched on 26 March 1944, and commissioned on 19 October 1945, thus missing World War II.
As with Pioneer, the design of Perseus was altered during its construction to that of an aircraft maintenance ship.

HMS Hermes was coverted to an Anti-submarine Carrier and fitted with a 'Ski-Jump' for Sea Harriers.
HMS Glory arrived in the Far East too late to take part in active combat during World War Two although she accepted the surrender of Japanese forces in New Guinea in 1945 and participated in the operation to repatriate ex-Japanese POWs following the war.

In the past 50 years, Harvard Medical School (HMS) has gone from graduating its first women to graduating its first class with more than 50 percent women.
The forum was the third major event over the last several years celebrating the women of the Class of 1949.

Frederick Alt, Howard Hughes investigator, the Charles A. Janeway professor of pediatrics at Children's Hospital, and HMS professor of genetics, is the recipient of the 44th American Association for Cancer Research-G.H.A. Clowes Memorial Award for outstanding recent accomplishments in basic cancer research.
She joined the HMS faculty in 1976 as a clinical instructor in pathology at Cambridge City Hospital and in 1977 became an instructor in pathology at New England Deaconess Hospital.
DeGirolami is survived by her husband, Umberto, HMS professor of pathology at Brigham and Women's and at Children's; two children, Laura DeGirolami-VanderElst, a third-year medical student at HMS, and Marc; and one grandchild.
