HMS Prince of Wales was the second of five King George V class battleships, built under the limitations of the Washington and London naval limitation treaties.
HMS Prince of Wales was struck by one torpedo which opened the hull, jammed the steering, disabled most of the AA mounts, and destroyed part of the propulsion.
Diving on HMS Prince of Wales is more than a little controversial, due the vessel's status as a war grave, and because many of the survivor's and relatives of those lost in the attack feel that the wreck should not be visited.

The Prince of Wales had a brief but active career and helped to stop the Bismarck; however her loss to Japanese land-based bombers in the Far East in 1941 is one of the events that led to the end of the battleship being considered the predominant class in naval warfare.
On 25 October, Prince of Wales, along with the destroyers HMS Electra and Express, left for Singapore to become the flagship of the Far East Fleet under Admiral Sir Tom Phillips.
Early in the battle, the Prince of Wales was disabled by a lucky torpedo hit where the propeller shaft entered the hull, which caused severe flooding, rendered the rudder useless, and cut the power to her 5.25 inch DP guns.

The Prince of Wales sent the signal ‘Hood sunk’ which was received by the destroyer HMS Electra at 0600, and she and the rest of the escort instantly went in search for survivors.

At 0800 of the 27th May 1941, the Bismarck, floundering helplessly, faced the combined fire of HMSs King George V and Rodney and sustained heavy damage within an hour, although she was able to continue to return fire.

HMS Queen Elizabeth was a WWI Battleship, and took part in teh Gallipoli campaign, and then in WWII was in the Mediterranean before going to the Pacific Fleet later on before being sold as scrap in 1948.

The Sinking of Prince of Wales and Repulse was a World War II naval engagement which illustrated the effectiveness of aerial attacks against naval forces that were not protected by air cover and the resulting importance of including an aircraft carrier in any major fleet action.
Secondly, it denied Prince of Wales much of her auxiliary electrical power that was vital for internal communications, ventilation, the steering gear and pumps and that the 5.25-inch and 2-pounder gun mountings relied on to train and elevate.
The Prince of Wales' bell was removed from the wreck in 2002 in response to fears that it would be stolen by unauthorised divers and is now on display at the Merseyside Maritime Museum in Liverpool.
