  HNoMS Valkyrien
The KNM Valkyrien, a frigate of the Royal Norwegian Navy was purchased from the Royal Canadian Navy in 1956 and was named the KNM Garm until 1965.
She was launched as the River-class frigate HMCS Toronto with pennant number K538 on 25 November 1943 at Lauzon, Quebec, Canada.
She was decommissioned from the Royal Canadian Navy on 27 November 1945, then recommissioned by that navy as a Prestonian class frigate with pennant number 319 on 26 November 1953, and decommissioned again on 14 April 1956.

HNoMS Valkyrien has the pennant number A535 and is the present support vessel for the Royal Norwegian Navy Coastal Combat Flotilla.
Valkyrien was built as a civilian supply vessel and was bought by the navy in 1994.
The ship has a strenghtened hull and meets the requirements of ice breaking class ICE C. The vessel has a deplacement of 3000 tons and a top speed of 16.5 knots.
