Hereditary Princess Sophie Elisabeth Marie Gabrielle of Liechenstein (de: Erbprinzessin Sophie von und zu Liechtenstein) (born October 28, 1967 in Munich), is the daughter of Prince Max-Emanuel, Duke in Bavaria, and Countess Elisabeth Douglas.
She was born HRH Princess Sophie of Bavaria; in 1973, her father inherited the title Duke in Bavaria from a distant cousin who had adopted him as heir in 1965.
Sophie was now styled HRH Duchess Sophie in Bavaria, Princess of Bavaria; on her marriage in 1993 she became HRH The Hereditary Princess of Liechtenstein.

If one discounts the marriage of the Duke of Bavaria's ancestress Maria Beatrice of Savoy as being invalid in British law (she married her uncle) then the succession would have passed from her to her younger sister Maria Teresa who married the Duke of Parma.
