		HackCam (also referred to as HC) is an anti-cheating utility for the Counter-Strike modification of the Half-Life engine from Valve software.
		Where normal anti-cheat utilities attempt to discover cheating tools on the users computer, HackCam is designed to find the cheats based on what they do inside the game.
		Sound, shadows, signs of recent damage (bullet holes in a wall), knowledge from previous rounds in the game, knowledge from previous games on that specific map, and average human responses towards their environments, in addition to several other logic systems.

		HackCam is detecting realtime what the player is doing, cross referencing that to a known set of skill values, which can be fine tuned of course.
		You could even have options where HackCam does not even run on the live server, but takes a feed from HLTV and acts remotely, thus saving the server from a performance hit, if there is to be one.
		HackCam is the future of anti-cheat, it won't be the ending of cheating, but it will put a hefty dent in cheating.

		The servers on the right are running hackcam i do believe, When i added this one "cs-s2.the-space.net" to my favourites on steam.
		From what I seen of Hackcam, Looks like it will be the "bomb", And finally a Anticheat that can pick up all the private cheats.
		I'm know sure does valve like hackcam or not, from what i heard rumours suggest that hackcam will be included in vac2.

		Unfortunately certain complications hindered the development to continue as expected and both fans and the developer was turned in a new unforeseen direction.

		The problem here is that it is VERY VERY hard to proof since you can not see the positions of other people, which makes it really hard to proof he is tracking through walls.
		HackCam makes tracking very very obvious and while it isn't definete as in a cheatfile is detected on his/her comp, the theory of large numbers still count.
		See it once means nothing, seeing the guy track perfectly every single round should ring a warning sign....and HackCam seems to be able to do just that.

		HackCAM is made to track and discover hackers in CSS.
		If you notice the top left corner in that little box, HC will show what might be used such as a lockbot (aimbot) or wall hack or something else like a no recoil script.
		Maybe I'm misunderstanding what this hackcam is, but if its what I think it is then it may be bad news.

		As long as admins do not take the hackcam programme as gospel then it shoould be OK Same as many other pieces of software really, think X-Spectate was the most recent wasn't it?
		This isn't to say it is impossible to catch a cheat thruogh HLTV, but short of leagues where the players have registered steam_ID's that can be checked, HLTV demos are basically worthless for cheat detection.
		As an admin at The-Space where HC was tested and developed, and a good friend of it's programmer, I can say it will undoubtedly blow you out of the water once you see it in action.

		Unfortunately, the HackCam forum at az-prod.com is down because of hosting-relocation.
		The more recent progress has been made on fine-tuning the detection systems and adding in additional detection routines to try and increase the percentage of cheaters detected when they are being more subtle about it, such as using a 'wallhack' but not firing on players through the walls.
		OutOfAmmo: As I said earlier, the NDA was in place long before HC became well known on the levels it currently is. I have also stated on several occasions that an NDA agreement was in place, so any fans that were let down because of it should have been reading more and posting less.

		HackCam would be released in April this year, but because of some problems the project was stopped, atleast we thought.

		There is lots of hype surrounding this HackCam thing.
		I refuse to publicly state my opinions on that, all I can say is, this level of technological development has far greater business value than the games industry.

		I've been reading the forums of hackcam and get the impression that valve (aka some old micro$uck$ employees) where a bit upset that hackcam detected cheats better than their new vac2 prog.
		Hackcam isn't going to be limited to just CS:S so VAC can gth :)
		But time will tell, And hopefully, They will be porting the hackcam over too all the games I play :)

		All multiplayer wallhacks of any kind are considered cheats and will probably be detected.
