Magruder has formed a sister school partnership with Hage Geingob High School in Windhoek, Namibia in the fall of 2002.
Hage Geingob is located in Katatura, the traditionally fl area of Windhoek under apartheid.
In May of 2003, the principal of Hage Genigob(Hanna Garises), a teacher (John Adams), and a learner, (Ingelore Katjingisiua) visitedto Magruder for two weeks-attending classed, meeting with student and teacher groups, speaking to classes, and even attending prom.

Tributes flow for former PM FORMER Prime Minister Hage Geingob was given a royal send-off on Friday night ahead of taking up a position in the United States More than 600 people from all strata of Namibian society attended a gala dinner in Windhoek hosted by the business community.
Vekuii Rukoro described Geingob as one of the finest sons of the soil who at times had been the lone voice in the National Assembly preaching national reconciliation, while people like former Swapo Secretary General Moses //Garoeb would preach the opposite.
He said Geingob was not the kind of person "to bend with the wind".

In a letter faxed to the daily Namibian, Fredericks said a comparison Prime Minister Hage Geingob drew between the sprinter and boxer Harry Simon had "dulled" his desire to represent Namibia at the competition which starts tomorrow in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Geingob was quoted at a World Boxing Organisation championship match last month in South Africa as saying Simon had outclassed Fredericks by winning the super welterweight title.
Geingob stood by his remarks in a statement released yesterday in Windhoek.

At a tender 34, the former prime minister of Namibia, Dr (Honoris Causa) Hage Geingob became the director of the United Nations Institute for Namibia (UNIN), on the insistence of the Swapo party leadership.
Even at that early stage, when many of the senior Swapo leaders were still mostly unknown, Geingob was quickly recognised for his keen mind and his drive to reconcile opposing views by all parties who participated in the process of drafting the constitution.
When, by all accounts, Mr Geingob is such a fine leader and has done so much for the independence of Namibia and to make the country prosperous, my mind can't help wondering why he no longer is my prime minister.

Prime Minister Hage Geingob on Oct 18 agreed to remove a controversial section which exempts the President from the Anti-Corruption Bill.
Geingob said in Parliament that section 36 which exempts the President from the Bill should be removed "as other existing instruments cover the President".
Geingob also criticised the Bill for failing to address the issue of declaration of assets by politicians, civil servants and others.

Namibian Prime Minister Hage Geingob on Tuesday dismissed comments by a cabinet minister suggesting the country was set to make homosexuality a crime.
Geingob said parliamentarians had the right to express their opinions, but as head of government issues in parliament, he would have been aware of plans to institute such a law.
If introduced, the legislation would run contrary to the country’s constitution which states that no person may be discriminated against on grounds of sexual preference.
