Today Haileybury is a coeducational school for 11-19 year-olds, with recent girls' boarding houses, (Colvin, Melvill, Allenby, Albans, and Hailey) and many facilities.
Haileybury has a rackets court, built in 1908, which is unusual in having a double gallery.
Haileybury is attached to a junior school, Lambrook Haileybury, at Winkfield Row, near Bracknell, where it moved in 1998 from Windsor.

Haileybury’s early growth was slow, but with the advent of the railway, the discovery of silver in 1903, and the establishment of the Cobalt Mining Camp, Haileybury experienced a population explosion.
Haileybury’s Lakeshore Road came to be known as Millionaire’s Row in reference to the many mine owners, managers and other professionals who built their majestic homes along Lake Temiskaming’s shore.
By 1904 the Town was Incorporated and in 1912 Haileybury was declared the Judicial Seat for the District of Temiskaming.

Haileybury, Ont, pop 4543 (2001c), 4875 (1996c), is located on the northwestern shore of Lake TIMISKAMING, 150 km north of North Bay.
Incorporated as a town in 1904, it amalgamated with the town of NEW LISKEARD and Dymond Township (incorporated 1901) to create the city of Temiskaming Shores in 2004.
The seat of the District of Timiskaming from 1912 to 2003, it is now the administrative centre for the new city of Temiskaming Shores.

Haileybury is a fascinating town, rooted with a rich history which spans over a century.
Haileybury High School opened at this location in 1910 and operated until February 14, 1945, when a fire completely destoyed the building and all of its contents.
In 1910, legendary Art Ross came north to play for the Haileybury Comets in the newly formed National Hockey Association, a forerunner of the N. Ross later went on to become the coach of the Boston Bruins and is honoured today with the trophy in his name.

When the volume first came from a Windsor bank to Haileybury in 1962 the school was extremely cautious, putting it on display very rarely, so that very few were aware of it at all.
The connection between the USC and Haileybury must have been well understood, and the USC culture reflected the Haileybury culture, so boys at Haileybury were keenly sensitive to Stalky & Co. The Literary Society in June 1900 debated the motion "that Stalky & Co. gave an unfair character to the English Schoolboy".

HAILEYBURY (Staff) - Haileybury council has asked the Ontario Ministry of Environment to ensure the ministry addresses the town's concerns regarding the Bennett Environmental Inc. proposal to construct a thermal oxidizer facility in Kirkland Lake.
Haileybury council expressed concern to the ministry that "the baseline data collection for air quality parameters was restricted to the two week period between October 18 and November I. If data were collected in other seasons, dioxin, furan and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon values may display different background levels.
Haileybury council has forwarded letters expressing its position to Bennett Environmental Inc., the Ontario Ministry of Environment, and the Town of Kirkland Lake.
