Hailu Shawul (also spelled Shawel; Shawil) (born 1936) is an Ethiopian engineer and the chairman of the Coalition for Unity and Democracy (CUD).
Hailu Shawul was the chairman of Kinijit and succeeded Professor Asrat Woldeyes as the head of the All-Amhara People's Organization (AAPO).
He led the transformation of the AAPO into the multi-ethnic All Ethiopian Unity Party (AEUP), which was one of several that united October 2004 in the CUD, with the goal of fielding candidates in the May 15, 2005 general elections.

But Information Minister Berhan Hailu accused the opposition of resorting to illegal measures to try to undermine the constitution.

Melses and company know Professor Mesfin as far back as their short college stay, they know Hailu Shawul who spent his life serving his country in different capacity, they know Drs.
They know all those arrested were not motivated by hate of the people of Tigrai.

There was many ways TPLF government tried to portrait Hailu Shaul to let the public know as if he was brutal Mengistu’s partner.
One thing strikes my mind why you want to attack Hailu Shawul as a violent on your last conclusion on your paper.
