HAINESPORT - The township's only school must expand, regardless of how many students are projected to move into the district, according to Superintendent Mark Silverstein.
Township taxpayers could be asked to fund $14.4 million of the total, he said.
In the 2003 report, the township planner estimated a total of 1,100 students could be enrolled at the school by 2008, Silverstein said.

Greg Monsolino, 36, of Lumberton Township, left the couch where he was sleeping on the second floor of the house and went downstairs where several children were sleeping during the early morning hours of New Year’s Day, according to Assistant Ocean County Prosecutor Robert Gasser.
At the time of the incident, Monsolino, who is single, was working as a fourth-grade substitute teacher at Hainesport Township School, Burlington County.
Hainesport Superintendent of Schools Mark Silverstein said Friday that Monsolino was removed from the substitute list at the district’s Board of Education meeting the night before.

Public records indicate that Ronald Corn was an elected Hainesport Township Committeeman from 1989 to 1995 when he was elected Mayor.
In pleading guilty, Wisnewski, the former Hainesport municipal Finance Officer, admitted her role in the scheme to divert public monies to the “Mayor’s Fund.” Wisnewski was sentenced to three years in state prison and ordered to repay the township coffers nearly $180,000 in restitution.

TRENTON — Attorney General Peter C. Harvey today announced that the former Municipal Finance Officer for Hainesport Township in Burlington County was sentenced to three years in state prison and ordered to repay the township coffers nearly $180,000 in restitution.
The investigation by the Division of Criminal Justice - Special Prosecutions Bureau, in conjunction with independent audits conducted by Hainesport Township, determined that funds from municipal accounts including the Counsel on Affordable Housing (COAH), the Public Assistance Fund, and recreation, capital improvement and sewer fund monies were diverted to the secret "Mayor's" Fund.
Wisnewski, a Hainesport Township public employee since 1994, was arrested by New Jersey State Police detectives assigned to the Division of Criminal Justice - Special Prosecutions Bureau on Sept. 2, 2003.
