 | | Typical tasks: keeps schedule of appointments in grooming shop; lifts or otherwise assists patients into hairdresser chair; schedules visits to the bedridden, severely handicapped, or those in secured area; makes special appointments for permanent waves or special hair attention; keeps records of the number of patients served and the dates served. |
 | | Employees may also have occasional contact with nurses, social workers, and other care-related staff, as well as residents' families, in order to discuss hair care and grooming needs of residents; and with beauty supply providers in order to place orders and to learn about the uses and properties of grooming supplies available. |
 | | In order to perform the services of a hairdresser in a timely and correct manner, employees in this class follow State laws governing hairdressing and barbering; State board laws and guidelines regarding sanitation and cleanliness of equipment; agency policies and manuals covering residents' rights; and Administrative Rules, policies, and procedures. |
