		The Halfway Covenant of 1662 was an attempt to revive interest in the church and appease those who did not wish to make a full oath of allegiance to the church.
		A halfway house is a term for a drug rehabilitation center or sex offender center where drug users or sex offenders respectively are allowed to move more freely than in a correctional center but are still monitored by law enforcement agents, etc. There is often opposition from neighborhoods where halfway houses attempt to locate.
