The area concerned was south of Blackwater Creek and Roanoke-Stanton River, west of Aaron's Creek (which divides Mecklenburg and Halifax counties), and extended to the Blue Ridge Mountains.

To date, this is the earliest record found for the presence of Daniel Hutcherson (Hutchison) in Halifax County.
However, on January 2, 1786, a Daniel Hutcheson was married to Eliza Johnson in Halifax County, Virginia.
There was also a Robert Hutchison found in early records of Halifax County, so he too, or one or more of his sons, must be considered as a possible sons-in-law of John Frederick Miller.

 Henry Gee of Halifax County, Virginia
His company's muster roll shows that Henry was sick at Trenton and Carrell's Ferry in June 1777, in the regimental hospital in July 1777 and at "Morris Town in the Jerseys in guard" in August 1777.
Back in Halifax the records show that supplies were furnished to the wife of soldier, Henry Gee, in 1778 and to the widow of Henry Gee in February 1779.
Mary Gee never shows up on the Halifax Co. tax lists, which means she not only never owned a slave, but she never even owned a horse.
