About once a year I have to disconnect the hall effect sensor from the speedometer because the guage will start reading 50 or 60 mph when I turn the key on.
Seems strange it is intermittent and unplugging the transmitter (hall effect) clears it up for a time.
I have used the VDO Electronic Speedometer and Hall Effect Sensor since 1998 and have never had any problem at all with it.
