Haller Lake is a small lake and neighborhood in north central Seattle, Washington, named for Theodore N. Haller, who platted the neighborhood in 1905.
Originally called Welsh Lake, Haller Lake is located between Interstate 5 and Aurora Avenue N. just south of N. 130th Street in the neighborhood to which it lends its name.
The Haller Lake Community Council meets at the Haller Lake Community Club at 12579 Densmore Avenue N. was formed in 1922 as the Haller Lake Improvement Club.

They were known by a few different names; "The Haller Army or Haller's Army" after their eventual commander - General Jozef Haller, the Blue Army after the horizon blue French uniforms they wore, and also as the Polish Legion in France.
After transport to France, they initially fought under the French, but by the end of the war they were recognized as an independent allied army with their own Polish leadership.
These great Poles all proudly served under their general - Jozef Haller and proved themselves more than worthy in battles from Champagne through the end of WWI, all the way to Ukraine in the Polish-Soviet War of 1919-1920.

During normal periods all the runoff from Haller Lake and Bitter Lake, north of Licton Springs, along with whatever else goes into the storm drains, flows through Licton Springs and then into the sanitary sewer system.
When there are periods of high runoff, due to storms and long rainy periods, the sewer system in inadequate to handle all this flowing water and shunts part of it untreated into Green Lake.
All the runoff from Green Lake eventually reaches a wastewater treatment plant before entering Puget Sound.
