Hallucinogens are substances that altar or produce false perceptions of sight, sound, taste, smell, or touch and most hallucinogenic substances are illegal (Hallucinogenic Mushrooms).
Hallucinogenic mushrooms were used in religious ceremonies by the Indians of Mexico and were considered sacred.
