Most of the material here will be related in some way to the game Halo, by Bungie studios.

The sites bungie.net and halo.bungie.org both host collections of Halo fan fiction.
A number of weapons and plot devices seem to borrow from ideas seen in the Marathon series of first-person shooters made by Bungie in the early to mid-1990s (see List of weapons in the Halo universe).
Bungie has also commented that Halo 2's gameplay balance is finely tuned, making such additions as new weapons or vehicles less likely, although new maps are certainly expected.
