  Toronto Suburban Railway - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The railway began in 1894 as Toronto Suburban Street Railway, a merger of the City and Suburban Electric Railway Company and the Davenport Street Railway.
It was taken over by Canadian National Railways in 1911, by the City of Toronto in 1923, and by the Toronto Transportation Commission in 1927.
A small part of the railway's right-of-way is operated as the Halton County Radial Railway museum.

They were called the radial railways because of the way the lines “radiated” in many directions out of the city.
The Halton County Radial Railway Museum, has an exhibit car 2786 that was used for the New Toronto/Long Branch run in 1923.
The HCRR is currently restoring car 416, which was in use on the New Toronto line for a short time in the 1920’s.

In 1856 the Grand Trunk Railway arrived, stimulating growth east along Mill Street from the river to the railway station.
Within 20 years, the Toronto and York Radial Railway Company operated lines north on Yonge Street to Sutton, with a branch to Schomberg; from the east end of Toronto to West Hill; and from Sunnyside to Port Credit.
It commemorates the 150th anniversary of the establishment in 1842 of an Anglican congregation in Nassagaweya Township, Halton County.

Use dparts are always an option, but I know from experiances the museum has had over the years, that sometimes the spares can need as much or more work than the original parts.
