Hamilton Township is a civil township of Van Buren County in the U.S. state of Michigan.
As of the 2000 census, the township population was 1,797.
In the township the population was spread out with 30.3% under the age of 18, 10.9% from 18 to 24, 26.1% from 25 to 44, 21.0% from 45 to 64, and 11.7% who were 65 years of age or older.

Van Antwerp, soon after her husband's death, bought a tract of sixty acres of land in Porter township, and there she went with her three children, superintended the management of the farm and the bringing up of their children, the youngest of whom was but three years old when her father died.
Van Ostrand is a New Yorker by nativity, and was born in the town of Rose, Wayne county, in that state, on December 20, 1844.
The farmers of Van Buren county are notable throughout the state for their industrious and progressive work, and not the least among the farmers who have given the county its good name is Edward W. Ewald, well-known in Hartford township as a fruit grower as well as a general farmer.

On the waters of Merriman lake, sections 9 and 10, town 2 south, range 6 west, township of Bangor, county of Van Buren, state of Michigan, it is unlawful between the hours of 6:30 p.m.
On the waters of Rush lake and Three Mile lake, Van Buren county, state of Michigan, no operator of any motorboat shall have in tow, or shall otherwise assist in the propulsion of, a person on water skis, water sled, surfboard, or other similar contrivance during the period from 6:30 p.m.

He is an old settler of Center Township, Hall County, Neb., and was born in Canada West January 19, 1844, and is the fourth in a family of seven children born to the marriage of Daniel Rathbun and Ruth Ryder, both natives of York State, the former's birth occurring February 24, 1812.
Henry Roach, one of Hall County's (Neb.) worthy and well-to-do farmers, is a son of Henry and Mary (Donahoe) Roach, both of whom were born in the "Emerald Isle," the latter's birth occurring in County Galway.
She is a daughter of Seneca Cowee, of that county, and was first married in her native State, moving west with her husband in 1873, settling on a homestead of 160 acres in Hall County, Neb., which place Mrs.

He was the Polk county member of the Tenth General Assembly in 1864, enrolling officer in five townships west of Des Moines river and outside of the city in 1864.
Was born in Knox county, Ohio, April 3, 1847, and in the fall of 1851 came to this county, and has resided on his present farm of eighty acres ever since.
He was married in Jefferson county, Iowa, in 1842, to Miss Rosanna Lamb, a native of Wayne county, Indiana, but a resident of Iowa, her father coming here the same year and same time that the subject of this sketch came.

Kiff was born in Delaware County, N. Y., October 14, 1835, and when fourteen years of age removed to Bradford County, Pa., with his parents, Andrew and Rebeca, who still reside in that county.
Marshall was elected County Clerk in the fall of 1879, and re-elected in 1881.

Gratiot Co. Michigan on Adams and Rich Rd. - The burial records as of 1983 and DAR reading of 1937 were consulted and any graves with missing stones were included.
This cemetery is located on Madison Rd. between Bliss and Warner Road next to the township hall which is an old church building.
Pritchard Cemetery - Sumner Township section 2 on Pingree Rd. 1/2 mile south of the village of Elwell.
