	Hamlin Township
		HAMLIN TOWNSHIP, bounded by Wetmore, Sergeant, Lafayette and Keating townships, is divided into three sections, Kinzua creek valley in the north center, and part of the northwest, separated by Big Level, of which Howard Hill is a peak, from Marvin and West Clarion valleys on the east, center and south.
		The valley of North Kinzua in this township, as well as those of Windfall, Mead, South Kinzua and Glad run, with the intervening territory (nearly one-half of the township) are still clothed with an unbroken forest in which hemlock predominates.

	Orlo Hamlin Mansion
		Hamlin was born June 23, 1873, in Smethport, McKean County, Pennsylvania, son of Henry and Hannah L. (McCoy) Hamlin and a descendant of an old and distinguished family.
		The eldest, Orlo Jay Hamlin, grandfather of Orlo James Hamlin, was born December 2, 1803, and died February 13, 1880, in Smethport, Pennsylvania.
		Hamlin's broad knowledge of conditions existing in Smethport and McKean County established him in a position of leadership and confidence in the district, and he rose in the organization of the Hamlin Bank and Trust Company until he became president in 1918.
