		Hammersmith Farm was the summer home of the young Jackie Kennedy.
		So it stays on the table as he sits in his home on the property of Hammersmith Farm.
		Hammersmith Farm, a popular Newport attraction since it was opened to the public in 1978, closed its doors to tourists last Nov. 1 and is being transformed into a private residence once again.

		I'm lucky enough to be spending a long weekend at Hammersmith Farm in Rhode Island this coming October (20-22).
		Mid to late October the past two years in RI has been pretty much "can't miss." I don't know where Hammersmith is, but just about any breachway and beach between Narragansett and Westerly is productive for stripers, blues, hickory shad, and tiny tunas at that time.
		Beaches like Second Beach are good, Breton Point which is just down Ocean Drive from Hammersmith can be good if the wind tolerable for fly casting.
