		Many legends of rock have performed at the Hammersmith Odeon, including The Cult, AC/DC, Guns N' Roses, The Cure, Tool, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, Iggy and the Stooges, Metallica, The Who, Rush, Dire Straits, Duran Duran and Queen.
		The night after Queen's 1979 concert, the Hammersmith Odeon hosted the 4-night Concerts for the People of Kampuchea, a benefit concert to raise money for Cambodian residents who were victims of the tyrannical reign of dictator Pol Pot of which Queen played the first night.
		Kylie Minogue and Girls Aloud released DVDs of their concerts at the Apollo in 2004 and 2005 respectively, and a DVD of a Bruce Springsteen concert held there in 1975 was released as part of the Born to Run 30th Anniversary Edition package, and later was released the CD Hammersmith Odeon London '75.

		The Hammersmith performance had been added at the last moment as a benefit for 21 year old Bill Duffield, her lighting director, who had died at the London Palladium during the tour.
		Although it was rumoured that Bush did not tour again due to this accident, coupled with other factors including a much rumoured fear of flying, she has since claimed that it was the toll of extensive travelling and performing to large audiences that deterred her from more tours.

		Hammersmith contains, in my opinion, the definitive version of "Lost In The Flood," which while I have yet to hear a bad version of this song, Bruce was firing on all cylinders for this one at Hammersmith.
