Hammerspace - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Hammerspace is a fan-envisioned, extradimensional, instantly accessible storage area in fiction.
Hammerspace draws its name from a semi-common cliché in humorous anime and manga: Male character Y offends or otherwise angers female character X. X then draws a wooden mallet—ranging in size from large to downright ludicrous—out of nowhere and bashes Y with it.
Hammerspace is also useful in explaining the peculiarities of many video games.

Hammerspace is an interesting occurrence that spans many anime, mostly comedic ones and has yet to be explained in any conclusive way as to the cause behind it.
The Hammerspace phenomenon is basically the ability for anime characters to be able to pull objects out of thin air, without any evidence of having said objects anywhere on their person.
Hammerspace is the designated name for the mysterious place or dimension where these hidden objects reside.

As discussed in Hyperspace Mallet, hammerspace is the notional place that things come from in animation when they are needed, and where they go back to when not.
The actual location of hammerspace is very hard to determine.
There seems to be a great deal of it behind people's backs and on the opposite side (from the camera, that is) of thin things like lampposts and slender trees.

Hammerspace is the hyperdimensional pocket dimension that contains all these giant mallets, accessible only to females who are angry or have been slighted by a male (especially their boyfriends or relatives).
Hammerspace allows these women to produce a giant mallet (or, in some cases, a whole bunch of them!) for wacking stupid men on the head with.
The term Hammerspace has been around in fandom for a while now, and girls in anime and manga have been producing mallets from thin air for quite a long time.

I’d almost say it was funnier than any actual hammerspace strip, but that’s because I ‘get’ all the jokes, because most of the humor was killingmachines humor and not hammerspace humor.
It’d be interesting to see what someone outside your family/circle of friends thinks.Miles wins the contest because he was poking fun at Hammerspace, and that was the point of this challenge: parody the other strip.
