Hancock County is a county located in the state of Ohio.
In the county the population is spread out with 25.70% under the age of 18, 9.70% from 18 to 24, 28.70% from 25 to 44, 22.60% from 45 to 64, and 13.20% who are 65 years of age or older.
Elections are administered in each county by a four-member board of elections which consists of two Republicans and two Democrats appointed by the Ohio Secretary of State at the recommendation of each county party.

Approximately 30 percent of Hancock County's residents (1980 census population was 64,581) depend upon private ground-water wells to supply their domestic and agricultural needs.
Hancock County is part of two major river basins in northwestern Ohio: the Portage River Basin (the upper 1/3 of the county) and the Blanchard River Basin (the lower 2/3 of the county).
Based on the statewide averages of runoff and ground-water recharge, Hancock County's 35 inches of annual precipitation result in about 9 inches of runoff, and almost 6 inches of the 35 have the potential to recharge the aquifers annually.

MICHAEL C., farmer, P. Ada, Hardin County, is a native of Columbiana County, Ohio, born April 5, 1841, son of Adam and Leah (Cummans) Palmer, natives of Columbiana County, Ohio, and Hampshire County, Va., respectively.

JOHN F., farmer and stock raiser, P. Findlay, was born in Richland County, Ohio, September 14, 1850, son of Joseph and Mary (Alexander) Hastings, the former of Merrimack County, N. H., the latter of Richland County, Ohio, and the daughter of Peter Alexander, Esq., of Maryland stock.
Hull was married in Morrow County, Ohio, in 1867, to Mary J., daughter of Abraham and Catharine (Brougher) Monnett.

He left the county in 1823, and was never in any way connected with the founding or growth of the town, the history of which properly begins with the coming of Wilson Vance in 1821, whose subsequent life was mainly spent within its limits.
Henderson was elected auditor of Hancock County, and re-elected to the same office, but resigned September 29, 1842, to accept the office of clerk of the court of common pleas, which he filled until July, 1848, when he resigned.
He was born in Loudoun County, Va., in 1808, and in the spring of 1814 removed With his parents to Morgan County, Ohio, where he learned the carpenter trade, afterward removing to Muskingum County, whence he came to Findlay.

Under Ohio’s SORN laws BCIandI, (The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation and Identification) collects data from the 88 County Sheriff’s on the sex offenders registered in their counties, on incarcerated sex offenders in the state prison system, and on sex offenders moving in from other states.
This allows citizens to have one website to search for sex offenders registered anywhere in the state by either the last name of the sex offender or by the zip code of the area the offender may be living.
