Hannity & Colmes - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Hannity and Colmes is an American television program on the FOX News cable television network featuring conservative host Sean Hannity and liberal host Alan Colmes.
For most issues, Hannity and Colmes invite a conservative guest and a liberal guest who debate the issue in question.
However, critics claim that Hannity often expresses his points more forcefully than Colmes, Hannity is more telegenic than Colmes, Colmes is really more moderate in his views, Hannity is a more popular media personality than Colmes, and that Hannity is often misleading or untruthful in his statements.

That was the dirty truth behind "Slander" and "Stupid White Men," and Hannity continues it with his book, a poorly researched effort full of blatant falsehoods and highly distorted versions of the truth.
Hannity continues this faulty logic in repeating the canard spread by the Tax Foundation that, under Clinton, "tax freedom day" (the day when Americans have paid off their tax bill for the year) was pushed back from April 20 to May 1.
Hannity is also repeatedly at odds with reality in his chapter on the environment, stating that oil from the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge would make the United States "far less dependent on foreign oil" and noting Teamsters president Jimmy Hoffa Jr.'s assertion that drilling would create 735,000 jobs.

Conservative commentator Sean Hannity and liberal counterpart Alan Colmes normally thrive on disagreeing about social and political issues on their nightly talk show.
James, who remained calm during the interview, said he could “perfectly agree that there is a problem in all communities,” but said the high dropout rate among urban fls, and the high number of fl men in jail, point to problems in the urban fl community.

While Hannity, a devout movement conservative, can be relied upon to dwell on the slightest conservative grievance, Colmes seems to see his role as one of policing liberal excess.
Hannity's relentless application of ideology allows for few exceptions, none of the soft spots or quirks of the sort acquired over time when one's rigid beliefs are tempered by experience.
Colmes downplayed the father's rights, siding with Diaz-Balart, who insisted that the child should stay in Florida: "What about the interests of the mother, who as was pointed out, gave her life so her child might find freedom in America?" It was a peculiar position for a liberal to take.

Sean Hannity was busy all week providing an open-mike forum for those friends of his that have been most recently disgraced.
Sadly, Hannity's tendency is to focus on the "looting and lawlessness" in a destroyed city instead of focusing on the despair caused by Leader Bush's criminal negligence in failing to rescue those starving, dehydrating, and dying people out in the sun for days.
Hannity wants to point the finger at underfunded local officials, without asking himself or America where their fearless leader Bush and his bloated, multi-billion-dollar homeland security department were, why they didn't rush in and save the day while the world was witnessing our disgrace and shame.

I didn't say that FOX was hard-right, but that Hannity is. To be more specific, I wouldn't call Hannity far right or ultra-right but he is a solidy partisan of the conservative POV, while Colmes seems to be of the soft left.
Rick, I suspect Colmes was picked for that show back in '90 to be as blatantly far left as he could be, as his show was stacked up right after Limbaugh all across the country and through the same syndicate.
That would be far more intellectually honest than accusing Rick of "shrill distortion." That's the phraseology of a "politician or entertainer" too, and pretty far from the "measured statements" you seem to be promoting in the very same sentence in which you fail to use them yourself.
