Hans Florian Zimmer (born September 12, 1957) is a German Academy Award-winning composer, best known for composing film scores.
Born in Frankfurt, Zimmer began his musical career playing keyboards and synthesizers with, among others, the bands Ultravox and The Buggles ("Video Killed the Radio Star").
Accomplished composers including Harry Gregson-Williams, Mark Mancina, John Powell and Klaus Badelt are also all former members of the studio.

Hans you have a lot of cool equipment that produces brilliant sounding music (the "Gladiator Waltz" demo on the MORE MUSIC FROM GLADIATOR comes to mind).
The "Hans Zimmer's Christmas" idea was this crazy idea that a painted can pain a picture and make one copy while you make a CD and you can make 1000s of copies.
