  IGN: Harbinger Review
Harbinger attempts to be ambitious through its implementation of RPG elements in a futuristic space environment.
All in all, Harbinger is simply a lackluster RPG among a sea of worthy competitors, whose biggest draw is the setting, which isn't even all that compelling.
Even going back several years and looking at a game like Darkstone, which offered superior graphics, sound, music, multiplayer options, and replayability, it is still a wonder that developers are unable to at least learn what works in a game, not necessarily having to copy an idea.

  Harbinger
Harbinger however doesn't skimp when it comes to other popular RPG standards, such as multiple weapon designs, an incredible variety of equipment and gadgets, and a vast array of specialized power-ups for specific character races only.
Harbinger 's system are modest by most modern game parameters, however, requiring at least a 500MHz P-III proessing chipset, at least 128 megs of RAM, 650 MB of free HD space, and at least a 16MB 3-D Video Accelerator with Direct-3D capability.
Another 'too-realistic' aspect of Harbinger was with the map reveal system, which 'un-mists' areas that the player explores, depending on his visual range…even though the automap could record previously traveled areas, the map would still return to the inky flness that was previously there after leaving the map area.

 Harbinger - PC Review
Harbinger Of all the sci-fi genres, generational spaceships are probably the most out-of-favor niche with current readers and authors.
Spawning many great works in the 1940s through 1960s, such as Non-Stop by Brian Aldiss and Orphans of the Sky by Robert A. Heinlein, the idea of spaceships as closed worlds that travel for centuries was so popular that even an opera, Aniara, was composed based on a poem about generational spaceships.

Harbinger for PC Review - PC Harbinger Review
Although the futuristic setting is a welcome change of pace, Harbinger falls short of the mark, with half-baked action and role-playing elements that are overly shallow and simplistic.
Harbinger is a slave ship, and most of its occupants are trapped aboard under the iron-fisted control of a being known only as "the overlord." Amidst the backdrop of a major war between the ship's primary factions, you and your band of misfits attempt to stay alive.
The only depth to be found in Harbinger is the fact that different enemies are vulnerable to different types of attacks.

I don’t know what answer that question will provide, but I know this: Harbinger rivals a lot of up and coming music groups out there today – give them their own tracks, and there will most definitely be another space on the shelf at Christian bookstores all across the country.
The word, Harbinger is defined as a "forerunner, herald, or messenger." It’s a person or thing that tells of something yet to come.

Harbinger, the debut album from the Massachussetts native, is full of grievances against glamorous romantic rivals, patronizing men, insensitive high school classmates and cross-burning racists--all so broadly drawn that everyone can easily join in the complaint.
After listening to all three albums (Harbinger, This Fire, and Amen) for a gazillions time, I come to a conclusion that Harbinger is definitely Paula Cole at her best.
Harbinger tracks are full of unexplainable emotions, like Hitler's Brother, Black Boots, etc. There's a certain higher level of abstractness in Harbinger than This Fire, which is a little more commercialized.
