According to Internet cafe owners of Haripur the Paknet Company which was the only ISP in the entire district owing to closing down of Hazaranet another ISP, it has announced increase in its Internet charges package once offered to them before July.
In Haripur cafe-goers were charged for Rs 20 to 25 per hour while in other cities the rates both charged by the ISP and cafes were much cheaper than Haripur.

HARIPUR, June 28: Two men and three women died while a dozen more fainted and were hospitalized due to sizzling heat, hospital sources told Dawn on Tuesday.
He said that when perspiration was suddenly stopped, both due to dehydration or sweat mechanism disturbance, the body temperature could shoot up to 106 or 107 and the patient could die of cardiac arrest or renal failure.
He said the deaths so far reported from different parts of Haripur might have been caused by either heat stroke or heat exhaustion.

We know that educated mothers are much more likely to provide their children with adequate nutrition, seek needed health care, and send their girls and boys to school, so we provide non-formal education for women who did not learn to read and write when they were younger.
There are not enough schools for all the children of Haripur, so Save the Children is working to establish six new primary schools to serve boys and girls who are not currently enrolled.

Ghazi police said that the 14-year-old schoolgirl of the Chandani Chowk Mohalla, Tarbela colony, had lodged a complaint that she was on her way to school on January 29 when two men, Abid and Qayyum, forcibly put her in a car and took her to a deserted place.
