	Harlescott - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		Harlescott is a suburb of the town of Shrewsbury, county town of Shropshire.
		There was once a military supply depot here, "RAF Harlescott", but this has closed and the nearest RAF base is now a few miles away at Shawbury.
		Harlescott was also once a fairly notable railway centre, but now all the sidings have gone.

		Dividing the Harlescott area from the houses east of Ellesmere Road are the Whitchurch Rd, a major thoroughfare, a railway line, an industrial park (the white area between Whitchurch Rd and Lancaster Rd, an area called Crosshill.

		The visit to the solar house in Diddlebury was very interesting, as was Anne Dyer’s talk at the AGM.
		Harlescott already has quite ample retail space and placing more right next to the very busy junction would be ridiculous.
		Inchcape argue that the site is too large for them now but they will need somewhere to move to, a nice little Greenfield plot probably.
