		Harley Quinn first appeared in the Batman: The Animated Series episode "Joker's Favor" (episode #22, original airdate: September 11, 1992), where she served as a humorous female sidekick and on-again, off-again girlfriend to the Joker.
		Quinn's DC Universe comic book origin, revealed in Batman: Harley Quinn (October 1999), is largely an adaptation of her animated origin from the Batman Adventures: Mad Love graphic novel.
		Harley's relationship with the Joker is one of the most complex and controversial in the DC Universe.

		The book opens with Harley Quinn taking down yet another thug who is looking to cash in on the sizeable cash reward that is being offer up for a young girl with a super secret formula embedded on her eye.
		We then see Harley has to ask herself if she's in the hunt for this little girl for the cash reward, or is she working to protect this girl from the unkind attentions that would be used against the little girl in order to retrieve the information she holds.
		As Harley search for answers has her attempting to get Doc's opinion on the matter we see his advice is essentially to walk away as the risk is far greater than the reward, and in their business forming relationships with anyone is downright foolish.

		The issue ends with the Joker coming to the conclusion that Harley is not interested in the cop at all, rather, she is interested in the 80 million dollars that were recovered in a drug bust lead by Bishop (as reported at the beginning of the issue).
		Knowing Harley's predisposition for forgiving the Joker's every sin, her seeming dismissal of Bishop's advances in earlier issues, and the timing of the drug bust does make you wonder if she is indeed only interested in a big score.
		Long gone is the bouncy Harley who is unconcerned with crime for cash, who had a penchant for "unusual" matchmaking and a flair for the dramatic.

	Harley Quinn #11 Review - Silver Bullet Comics
		The action is this issue is certainly a strong indicator of why it's easy to forgive the in-your-face shots of Harley Quinn's ample physique, as her fight/flight against the trio of heroes is a wonderful display of sheer energy.
		The talking heads sequence where we see Nix turning Harley's gang against her aren't really given an ominous feel by the art, but I will concede that these scenes are clearly conveyed, with the sequence where Batman sheds his disguise being the chief benefactor of this clarity.
		The idea of Harley Quinn dressing up as Batgirl is revealed to be a simple diversion that made sense only to Harley, and one is left to wonder why over half the issue was devoted to this plot, given it only seems to only exist to fill page space.
