	Marauders (comics) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
		The Marauders are a group of fictional characters, supervillains in the Marvel Comics universe and enemies of the X-Men.
		They are agents of Mister Sinister, and are best known for their involvement in the Mutant Massacre, in which they slaughtered the mutant community known as the Morlocks.
		Harpoon (Kodiak Noatak), a young Inuit who can charge objects (usually his Slayspears - 20 pound (9 kg) barbed harpoons) with electrical, concussive force, or stunning energies.

		For those not in the know (or for those that don't read comics, or weren't around back then, or whatever), the early 200's were a trouble-filled time for The Uncanny X-Men.
		Harpoon was an Inuit (Eskimo) mutant with the ability to channel energy into mini-spears that he threw.
		But after trying to do Scalp and Harpoon here, I just didn't have the patience, and with OCW's inception, I didn't have the time, so two strikes, which in my book is enough for "not gonna happen." Maybe in an upcoming Smackdown game, if they ever make one that's superhero-friendly...

		Harpoon is a political satire magazine that is very reminiscent of Mad Magazine.
		I asked the lady how much these Cerebus comics were and she took a look at them and said "$1.00 each", which was the cover price.
		While my comics are in a storage facility, they do occasionally come in contact with them and I don't want to explain to them why their dad is a smut peddler.

		Yes, all that info was delivered in roughly five pages of spacious panels, leaving the rest of the book to a classic balancing act of problem solving and obstacle dodging.

		All in all this was the weakest issue of the bunch, mostly due to that crappy stretch of art and a disjointed story, but the disjointed story is one of the good things about this comic.
		Not that #6 is a magic number in any way, and he never said that things would be making sense at this point, this was just the number of comics that he sent me. This one is all about Chester, sitting in a bar and telling the story of his life.
		This is $2.95, contact info is up there and, while I might advise you to wait for the graphic novel if you want this to make any sense at all, this is really something that everybody should take a look at.

		With most comics awards (whether the Eisners, Harveys, or many others), several of the categories are slanted toward "mainstream" companies (Best Serialized Story, Best Penciller/Inker, Best Coloring, and even Best Writer), because they are grounded in the traditional assembly-line approach to comics that the big companies use.
		The comic content was better and there was more of it this year, with fewer artsy-fartsy flourishes, and was a much better package as a result.
		I don't know an artist who saw this at San Diego who wasn't floored by it, and that includes comic strip guys, lifelong superhero artists, and all of the indie and small press guys who were insanely jealous of the whole project.
