		In the county the population was spread out with 26.00% under the age of 18, 11.10% from 18 to 24, 30.50% from 25 to 44, 21.20% from 45 to 64, and 11.10% who are 65 years of age or older.

		Harrison was formed on December 21, 1793, out of portions of Bourbon, and Scott counties and named in honor of Col. Benjamin Harrison of Pennsylvania, who settled in Bourbon County and wrote part of the constitution of Kentucky.

		Located just 15 miles west of Louisville, Kentucky, Harrison County, Indiana was named for General William Henry Harrison, First Territorial Governor of Indiana who later became the 9th President of the United States.
