Williams was easily re-elected three times, rising in seniority to become chairman of the Labor and Human Resources Committee in 1971 -- a post he held until the Republicans took control of the Senate a decade later.

I'm leaning towards believing the injury claims, I know Harrison fights scared at times(most of the time) but come on, all he did was jab pretty much the whole fight, I can't understand why he would do this unless he was injured...
In the 11th round(i think) Harrison had Williams hurt against the ropes and pretty much defencless and Harrison was to scared that he didn't want to get close and he missed and 6 punches on an open target.
Williams appealed and, although the British Boxing Board of Control upheld the decision, the ban was terminated.
