Harrow Football is played predominantly with the feet, but players may use any part of their body except their hands and arms to propel the ball.
Harrow Football is ancestral to association football and played exclusively at Harrow School, both between teams of boys currently at the school and between boys at the school and old boys.
Harrow Football is generally a free-flowing game with the ball in play at all times except when it has left the field of play over a boundary line, or play has been stopped by the referee.

Sheffield Football Club also has a claim to be the world's oldest surviving "football club", in the sense of a club not attached to a school or university.
In 1867 the Sheffield Football Association was formed by a number of clubs in the local area and the Sheffield clubs continued to play by their own rules until they decided to fall in line with the FA in 1878.

This book is beautifully presented, with large numbers of photographs, both modern and historical.
As a present harrovian, I can say that it is an accurate reflection on the school, though I feel that it would mainly be of interest to those connected to Harrow.
Apart from this flaw, which is the case with any book which concerns an institution with which you are involved (and in any case, the average reader isn't), Harrow: Portrait of an English School is a brilliant book that I thoroughly recommend.
