Harry was first elected to the Manitoba Legislature in a by-election in 1993.
Harry was involved in the political arena for many years before he was first elected to the Legislature.
Since the 1999 election, Harry has served on various committees and has been the chair of Finance, Justice and Education committees during estimates debates and on occasions he has been called to fill the Speaker's Chair and to chair the debates in the Legislature.

Harry Schellenberg is a politician in Manitoba, Canada.
A longtime support of the NDP, Schellenberg was first elected to the Manitoba legislature in a 1993 by-election, defeating Progressive Conservative Ed Martens in the north Winnipeg riding of Rossmere.
Schellenberg was elected President of the Manitoba NDP in 1996, and officially served in the position from 1997 to 1999.
