	Harsh Realm
		Harsh Realm revolves around the story of Thomas Hobbes (Scott Bairstow), a soldier sent to a virtual reality war simulation/game that has been commandeered by the ultra-right wing General Omar Santiago (Terry O'Quinn).
		He soon finds that Harsh Realm is a far more dangerous place than he imagined, and is trapped inside with his only ally being Mike Pinnochio (D.B. Sweeney), another soldier who was once sent on the same mission.
		Harsh Realm was cancelled by the Fox network after only three episodes, but the FX cable network later aired the rest of the episodes that had already been shot.

		I am a member of a Harsh Realm fan fic e-mail list, where there is not much feed back, and hense, I am not sure of the level of interest there anymore.
		However, when it comes to Harsh Realm fans - "Our strength is our spirit" - so, the show lived on in an enormous amount of fan fiction, and there was a Virtual Season One (ie, the picked up after the 10th episode), and a Virtual Season 2 and 3, I believe.

		Harsh Realm centers around Thomas Hobbes (Scott Bairstow) who, despite bearing the name of a cynical 17th century philosopher, is a rather upbeat and heroic chap.
		The pilot establishes an grim world filled with virtual characters who don't know their realm isn't real, soldiers previously sent on Hobbes' mission living as outcasts in the outskirts of Santiago's city-state and other soldiers who've joined the charismatic dictator's flock.
		With his latest TV effort, Harsh Realm, Carter delivers a series with the potential to match the X-Files success (though such a thing is unlikely) while proving that he's no one-hit wonder.
